Who we are
KamilEdu is a school and learning centre management app for principals, school offices, teachers, parents and students. This website and the KamilEdu app are run by the KamilEdu team ("we").
When you visit this website
- Your language is kept in your browser (the
kd-langcookie and browser storage), so the next page opens in the same language. - This website is delivered through Cloudflare. To send the pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and approximate country. That country is also used to open the page in a language that suits you.
- Google Analytics counts the pages opened and the buttons clicked, such as "Request a demo", using cookies. We use no advertising cookies. Visitors from the EU, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and anyone can change their choice under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. That choice is kept in your browser (
kd-consent). - WhatsApp. The "Request a trial or demo" and "Contact us" buttons open WhatsApp. The name, number and message you send reach KamilEdu's WhatsApp and are only used to answer you and arrange a demo.
This website asks you to fill in no forms and uses no advertising cookies.
When a school or learning centre uses KamilEdu
A school or learning centre that uses KamilEdu is the controller of its students', parents', teachers', tutors' and staff's data. We process that data on their behalf, only to run KamilEdu for them.
- Data used: names, classes and contact details (such as a parent's phone number), student ID numbers if the school adds them, attendance, grades and report cards, bills and payments, messages, and account sign-in history.
- What for: running the features the school or learning centre chose, keeping parents informed, and keeping accounts safe.
- Student accounts are approved by a parent. At the start, everyone is told what personal data is used and what for.
- Payments are made on the official payment provider's own page. Card details never pass through KamilEdu.
- We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
How we keep data safe
- Grades, money and personal data are only seen by the people who should see them.
- Approving salaries and tutor pay, signing report cards and taking cash always ask for a PIN again.
- Who changed what, and when, is always kept, and everyone can see their own account's sign-in history.
- Grades, attendance and payments can't simply be deleted: the app explains the effect first, and the history is kept.
How long data is kept
- A school's or learning centre's data is kept while they use KamilEdu, and after that for as long as the law requires, for example payment records.
- Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months at most.
- WhatsApp conversations are kept for as long as we need them to help you.
Your rights
Under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), and the GDPR for visitors from the EU and the UK, you have the right to:
- know what personal data is used and what for;
- see your data and ask for a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- ask for your data to be deleted, or no longer used;
- withdraw consent you gave;
- complain to the data protection authority in your country.
For data in a school's or learning centre's app, ask your school or learning centre, and we help them carry it out. For data from this website, contact us directly.
Visitors outside Indonesia and children
Data may be processed outside your country, including by Cloudflare and Google, with the protections they provide. This website is meant for schools, learning centres and parents, not for children.
